Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti was established on democratic principle of the people, by the people and for the people. Hence, today after more than three decades of its inception we still hold the concept by giving at prime importance to the interests of the people. The organization is managed by public spirited people hailing from different areas of social work; the combination of public-spirited people coupled with wealth of social work experience further strengthens our democratic values. 

The organization works to empower people and help them realize their hidden potential to fulfil their needs through their own efforts. We facilitate this process of growth by bringing in the catalytic features of development initiatives at the grass roots level. The organization is involved in implementing various projects on education, women empowerment, capacity building, skill development, health, old age home, child rights and protection, being funded by the government and the international agencies which provide better opportunities of exposure at various platforms.
