Old Age Homes

Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti, in close collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh, operates old age homes in Bahraich, Balrampur, and Deoria districts.

These facilities are committed to providing comprehensive care and support to elderly individuals aged 60 and above, ensuring they live out their golden years with dignity and comfort. This collaborative effort encompasses various services, including lodging, food, medical facilities, and meeting all the essential needs of homeless and needy elderly citizens.

Admission and Eligibility

Admission to our old age homes is governed by a transparent and equitable process, shaped by the partnership between Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti and the Directorate of Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh:

Application Submission: Elderly individuals can submit their application forms through designated channels, including Development Block Offices, District Social Welfare Officers, Municipal Offices, Tehsil offices, or other relevant institutions.

Evaluation: Eligibility assessments are conducted by the Tehsil Level Maintenance Tribunal and the District Level Tribunal. The collaboration ensures a fair evaluation process that prioritizes individuals based on their level of need.

Special Circumstances: In cases where elderly individuals meet authorities such as the District Magistrate, Deputy Collector, Police, or District Social Welfare Officers at railway or bus stations, our District Social Welfare Officer, with the consent of the District Magistrate, grants permission for admission to the old age home.

Non-Discrimination and Prioritization

Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti and the Directorate of Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh, uphold principles of fairness and non-discrimination in their partnership:

Priority for Needy: Applicants in greater economic need are given precedence over those with fewer resources, ensuring that those who require support the most receive it.

Gender Equality: Female applicants are accorded preference over male applicants, guaranteeing equal opportunities for elderly individuals of both genders.

No Religious or Caste Bias: Applications and admission cases are treated impartially, free from any discrimination based on religion or caste.

Separate Accommodations and Visitor Policy

In a collective commitment to the safety and welfare of elderly residents, Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti, in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Welfare Department, ensures:

Separate Accommodations: Our old age homes make separate arrangements for male and female residents unless the residents are blood relatives or a married couple, providing individualized care and comfort.

Managed Visits: Visitors are allowed within the old age home premises with prior permission from the management, creating a secure and welcoming environment for our elderly residents. This collaborative effort between Tharu Janjati Mahila Vikas Samiti and the Directorate of Social Welfare Department, Uttar Pradesh, goes beyond just providing shelter; it symbolizes a commitment to the well-being and dignity of elderly citizens in our society. Together, we are dedicated to serving our elderly residents, ensuring their later years are marked by comfort, security, and the respect they deserve.
